OVERVIEW
" POMPEII : The old city of Pompeii is located at the base of the Vesuvius and was flourish during the Period of the Roman Empire. After the eruptions of the Volcano in 79 A. D the city has been destroyed and covered by ashes and lapillus. The Archeological dig started in VIII century and in three centuries only 3/5 part of the city has been discovered. Now the city has declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO and, every year, about 3, 000, 000 tourists come to visit. HERCULANEUM : The eruption of the Vesuvius that destroyed Pompeii in 79 D. C. hit the city of Herculaneum too with a flow of dirt and lava. But unlike Pompeii, the city of Herculaneum preserved wooden buildings. VESUVIUS : The Vulcano is located in the Gulf of Naples ,just 9 km east of Naples . Mt. Vesuvius is best know for it's eruption in AD 79 that led to the burying and destruction of the Roman cities of POMPEII , HERCULANEUM and others 2 little villages close by. Vesuvius has erupted many times since and is the only Volcano on the European mainland to have erupted within the last hundred years, at this moment is one of the most dangerous volanoes in the worls because 3 thousand people living nearby...but we don't want scary you , it's a dormient Volcano ...come to enjoy the best view from the top with us ""
ITINERARY
" From your location we will first head the Vulcano Mt. VESUVIUS . you will spend 1h and 30 min. in total time...20min to climb the vulcano up to the crater ,then, 20 min to enjoy the amazing panorama of the bay of Naples and to take fantastic pictures.After that you will spend 20 min to come back to your driver . 2nd stop The visit in Pompeii will take approx 2 hours and it will be tuned onto people's desires and physical attitudes. Later we are driving to Herculaneum, which is smaller but better preserved than Pompeii and very pleasant because less visitors come here. This visit here will take about 2 hours....In both places there is the possibility to get a private and authorized archaeological guide , for a more intense experince. The guide inside the ruins is optional and will help you to SKIP THE LINE to buy the tickets and in the entrance of POMPEI "
